Wise Owls Toddler Group
We are a parent run toddler/baby group for parents/carers of babies and children up to the age of three years. Mums, Dads, Grandparents, Childminders and Nannies from Lacock and the surrounding towns and villages are welcome.
We meet in the Village Hall every Wednesday during term time from 9.30 - 12noon. Sessions cost £1.50 for an adult with one child and 50p for each subsequent child. You pay as you come rather than for the whole term so you won’t pay for any sessions you may miss. It’s fine if you only want to come occasionally rather than regularly.
There is plenty of room for everyone and it is an excellent opportunity for you to meet other parents and make new friends while your child plays in a fun and safe environment. The children are able to play with toys to encourage physical and imaginative play. We also have a well equipped quiet area for babies and parents.
The hall gives us plenty of space for little ones to toddle about, play and generally wear themselves out.
A craft table is set up each week with play dough, Sticking, or Colouring. We also make seasonal crafts which we use to decorate the tables at our coffee mornings. After we clear the craft table the children sit down for a healthy snack while the parents enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. If we have time at the end of the session we join together for singing.
Toddlers join in with the Pre-school children for various activities throughout the year including the Easter Egg Hunt, Easter and Christmas Coffee Mornings, Christmas Party and are welcome on trips such as visiting Father Christmas at Whitehall garden centre, Lambing days at Lackham and to Roves Farm. As Toddlers is run by parents and Committee members all help with setting up and clearing away is much appreciated.
